Dozens of school districts from across the state are reaching out to the Beggs community, offering whatever resources they can to help students get through the tragedy.

Students at Jenks Public Schools head back to class today. The district spent the summer adding more security to their schools.  Jenks officials say they used bond money to make sure they had secure entrances at every school. 

Members of the State Board of Education are voicing their concerns about whether Oklahoma schools are ready for an active shooter situation.

About 65 students from Jenks Freshman Academy and High School received detention for leaving class without permission during the National School Walkout against gun violence Wednesday.
